Children are able to work towards IDTA examinations, however weekly emphasis is on fun, enjoyment and learning to dance.

Children are currently focusing on and working towards their inter school exams.

At Leivers Dance we run progress awards. These are inter school exams in Ballet, Tap, Acrobatics and Modern Dance.

Children receive medals in bronze, silver and gold and then go on to working toward trophies. Please try to ensure that you do not miss classes as we are currently working towards these medals and are hoping that you will all be ready to do these before Summer. :-)

At Leivers Dance we are launching a new award. This award will be given out each week to somebody who has tried exceptionally hard.

This will take into consideration their attendance each week, how much effort they put in at class, whether they are polite and helpful. This award is going to be a ballerina which we have yet to name. The child that wins this award will be able to take this doll home with them for the week and bring it back the following week for somebody else to have for the week. They will also get a certificate with this award which they will be able to keep forever.

There is a page for this award on the website and on the facebook page and would like to see if we can have photos of the ballerina in different places. For example the child that wins this award can take the ballerina with them to different places during that week and submit photos of themselves with the award and the strange places that it has travelled to. Here are just a few ideas to get people started – perhaps the ballerina could go to grandparents houses, parks, swimming (although perhaps not in the water) to the beach, the cinema and lots of other places.
