Leivers Dance was established in 1982 by Michelle Leivers.
The school first opened at St Giles church hall however it soon grew out of these premises.
Leivers Dance classes are fun packed, high energy and the main ethos of the School is on fun. We aim to not only teach dance but to increase childrens confidence and self esteem whilst ensuring that they have an enjoyable time at dancing.
The Dance School is now run by Michelle and her two daughters Charlotte and Harriet (who have both danced with the instruction of their Mum since a very early age).
Leivers dance currently has 3 branches and children work towards their IDTA exams and also inter school progress awards.
We have just completed our 2012 Show ANYTHING GOES, in which the children all worked very hard and had a great time performing to their family and friends in the beautiful Tamworth Assembly Rooms Theatre. We are this year celebrating our 30th Birthday as a dance school and will be having a party towards the end of the year for all of the members past and present. Many of our students have gone on to either teach dancing or have gone on to do dance degrees or to dance proffesionally.
