Who are our classes for?
- Children age 2 upwards.
- Families who want to grow their children's confidence, give them opportunities to have fun, make friends and learn to dance, while keeping costs reasonable and fitting it into a busy life.
What are you looking for?
-To grow your child's confidence - We focus greatly on celebrating individual achievements. This is done through weekly superstar awards, progress cards annual performances and much more.
- Somewhere they will make friends - We promote kindness and support while providing a safe social space where children can make friends.
- To reduce screen time and keep your child active - Dance is perfect for this. Children will be having so much fun they wont even think about their devices.
-A hobby for my child where they can be themselves, I know they are safe and happy and something that isn't going to cause stress in our already busy life. We understand that life is busy! It seems to be getting busier by the day and the juggle is very real. That's why we try to keep a really relaxed approach to our classes and events.
Something that will help my child in future - We work closely with our dancers to develop more than just dance. We support many dancers through their Duke of Edinburgh award as well as giving the opportunity to work towards a Teaching Assistant qualification with Acrobatic Arts, Work Experience, CV writing and references and so much more.

A Little Background Information
Established in 1982 by Michelle Leivers the dance school is now run by Michelle and her daughter Charlotte, along with a fantastic team of teachers, teaching assistants and chaperones.
Our Directors are both qualified with the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA), in addition to holding further certifications in their areas of expertise. Several members of the team have First Aid and Safeguarding training. LDS closely follow the "Every Child Matters" Government initiative for Safeguarding and Child Welfare and have an appointed Child Welfare Officer. |
